Truma Ultrastore Guide
In the Truma Ultrastore, a powerful gas burner heats the water in your caravan or motor home quickly – completely without a power supply. The gas boiler has excellent insulation to ensure that almost no heat is lost. If the water temperature drops, the electronics reignite automatically. Set the desired water temperature anywhere between 30°C and 70°C with the control unit.
The Truma Ultrastore boiler also has an electric heating element that heats the water even faster. It reduces heating up time from 30 minutes in gas mode to 15 minutes in mixed mode – for example, when heating water from 15°C to 70°C. When the water is hot, you can take a long shower with ample time to soap yourself. When the Truma gas boiler is running, water is continuously reheated while you are showering. This means that a second person can shower immediately afterwards.
- Energy sources: Propane / butane
- Power supply: 230 V ~. 50 Hz
- Output of electric heating element: 850 W / 1300 W
- Gas output: 1500 W
- Power consumption (at 230 V): 3.7 A / 5.7 A
- Heating time: from approx. 15 °C to approx. 70 °C: approx. 31 min. (gas mode) approx. 29 min. (electric mode) approx. 16 min. (mixed mode)
Does the Truma Ultrastore need to be sterilised and descaled?
The Truma Ultrastore should be regularly sterilised and descaled. Any standard cleaning products stocked by specialist camping retailers can be used for cleaning, sterilisation and maintenance. It is important that products are used according to manufacturer specifications in the correct dosage and with the correct exposure time.
You can also regularly heat the water in the Boiler gas or gas/electric to 70°C to prevent the growth of microorganisms. To do this, switch the appliance on, leave it switched on for at least 30 minutes, and do not use any hot water during this time.
You can use standard descaling products from specialist camping retailers, acetic acid or citric acid to descale the boiler.
Add the cleaning or descaling products in the recommended mixing ratio to the appliance via the water intake and allow them to work. Then flush the Truma Ultrastore as part of your water system thoroughly with fresh water.
How do I empty the Truma Ultrastore properly?
If the caravan is not being used during the frost period, the Truma boiler must be drained as follows:
- Disconnect the power to the water pump (main switch or pump switch).
- Open hot water taps in the bathroom and kitchen.
- Open drain valve: lever vertical, position.
- The boiler will now be drained directly to the outside via the drain valve. Make sure that all the water is drained (10 litres).
Remember Truma do not accept warranty claims for frost damage.
